Cindy never knows exactly what a painting is going reveal when she starts.  She works only with primary colors and just puts down the paint with her hands until she likes the “ground” that is taking shape.  Building layers of ground, keeping the color, figures and areas she likes, and wiping the rest away, something starts to come to life in the painting.  Perhaps an animal, like a Rhino, elephant or owl. It may be more whimsical, like a pink mohawked vulture. And sometimes the images are emotional, using symbology to build the pieces.

All of Cindy’s paintings have a story to tell; whether it’s through symbology, abstract imagery, color or texture.

Cindy’s paintings are acrylic paint on wood or canvas, then she often adds pastels, oil stick, pencil and ink to finish them off.

A story to be told in each one..
